Just some summer fun

Guess I shoulda put this this post BEFORE the school post. I'll have to plead chronological ignorance. :)

Being on a pretty much "no money" budget we haven't been able to do too much this summer. We have spent a lot of fun time outside though going to the park, wheeler farm, and just hangin out in the backyard. (oops ya I realize I just repeated myself in the other summer post) So for my picture lovin' family here are my cutsie kids that I can't get enough pictures of! (thank goodness for digital cameras)

Goin' to the Farm....Feedin' us some ducks.....Ridin' us some trackter

Ya ducks arn't too particular in what they eat

The birdhouse (really? what birds)

...there's one!!...

What's the attraction to old tracters anyway? These kids could play on them for hours!

Uh oh...Ethan's in the doghouse

Playin' in the old Box Elder Tree

Look at how much wood we chopped....Let's celebrate!

SAND!!!! (almost as good as dirt!)

Playin' in the treehouse

Goin' to the Lou

Playin in the mud!!

Murray Park

Splishin' and a Splashin'

How sweet!

Cannonball!!

My little man is in first grade!!

My big boy is gettin' so grown up! He was super excited to go to school yesterday morning and had a fabulous day! Ofcourse all that new excitment takes a lot outta you and Ethan never gets sleepy tired he gets whiny-throw-a-fit-at-every-little-thing tired. Once he zonked out though, he had a great sleep and was rarin' to go this morning. Wouldn't it be wonderful if kids could have that excitement for going to school all throughout their education?

So now what do I do? with my little guy gone all day? Don't know whether I should rejoice in my new found freedom or sit and cry and wallow in guilt for not doing more things with him??? I'm sure trying to choose the former although it's kinda hard. I am looking forward to the extra scrapbook time I'll have though. In a couple of weeks it'll be Aria's turn. My, what am I going to do??

Happy Pioneer Day!

Pioneer day (July 24th) is a pretty big deal here. It commemorates the date that the pioneers settled this valley. It is hard to believe that so long ago this beautiful valley was once a dry, inhospitable desert. It is amazing what these pioneers accomplished and we are truly blessed to be living in such a beautifully diverse state. They literally walked across most of the entire United States forging through mountains, valleys, and streams in all kinds of weather. It was truly a miracle.

Goodmorning my angels from heaven

We sure love our new playset! (even mom gets a swing sometimes)

Fun in the pool!

Our yummy bbq

And ofcourse....you gotta have the firworks!

Night Night! :)
