I can't believe the last time I posted anything was on Emma's 3rd birthday and here we are a year later just after her 4th birthday! We have had a rather uneventful year (ofcourse there's always exceptions with the kids) and are so looking forward to a fresh new face. :) The kids have had a wonderful year in school so far with exceptional teachers. I have really been enjoying volunteering at the school in Aria's class and also doing the takehome library program and ofcourse special events like Santa's Secret Worshop! We had a nice quiet Christmas at home. We were fortunate to have a beautiful white Christmas day and enjoyed some sledding. Unfortunately the day was darkened a little by the fact that Danny had to go to the hospital to visit a family that had gotten into a terrible accident Christmas eve and their presents and everything in the car was ruined. (believe me the roads were horrendous on Christmas eve, we even ventured out to the movies which may or may not have been a good idea...lol) So sad and tragic but fortunately Danny and his friend Cort and many kind people were able to bring some Christmas cheer to the family. :) Sweet Emma turned 4 on New Year's eve and from now on I'm gonna have to remember the fireworks!!! (the stores have a lot more variety now) The kids were very excited to "help" her open her presents and make the candy cane cake. Danny and I finished the night with our traditional pie and cozied up on the couch by our new "fireplace" to watch our traditional "A Man for All Seasons" Only made it to 11:30 though :) It was already New Years day somewhere though right. :) Staying up is overrated anyway. :) Welcome 2013! May you absolutely kick your younger brother's butt!!! (slight reference to A Christmas Carol there (Jim Carrey version)) Fun at the library with Santa!!! the kids were so excited when Santa personally wrote back to them!!! Aria declared that she knew Rudolph was real because Santa said so in his letter :)
