Bye Bye Christmas tree......

........you served us well. We bought our Christmas tree 4 years ago. I think 4 strands of our lights went out on it this year and it has always tilted slightly. (Just a unique little quirk we grew to love) Next year our little friend will have to be replaced with a newer, younger version. So long old friend.

Christmas Morning

Presents! Presents! Presents! for the kids. I think Ethan and Aria were a little overwhelmed at the spread they got from Santa this year. So much fun though!!!
I never seem to get as many pictures as I want though because patience is not a forte of most kids (especially on Christmas) This year we had our camcorder and recorder the morning so I forgot about the camera until after everything was opened. Got some good shots though. What a fun morning!!

A very merry Christmas to all. I hope that this wonderful Christmas season has brought peace and joy to everyone. As so many at this time get caught up in the commercialism of Christmas and "Santa" it is so very important to remember the true meaning of Christmas. The birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and what he has done for all mankind. I am truly grateful to have him in my life and to receive the many many blessings that I do everyday!
As many of you know last year was a very hard year for our family and so this Christmas we were particularly looking forward to a peaceful relaxing Christmas. We had such a wonderful morning and it was such a joy to watch the kids open their presents. (This was the first year that Ethan really got into Christmas and the "Santa" thing :) and Aria was also quite excited mostly because of her big brother's lead) This year we were the recipients of a sub for santa. Thank you and God Bless our dear Bishop for giving them our names and helping to make this such a special Christmas for our family. The night that the young group came to deliver the gifts (trying to be discreet of course) Danny and I were just watching a movie and had the blinds open so we saw them sneaking to our door and running away. What a joy to see the excitement on their faces. It is surprising how humbling it is to receive such a generous offer. I was almost brought to tears as I thought of the kindness we have been shown. My hope and prayer is that next year we will be able to be more charitable in our hearts and spread some of our joy and blessings to others.

Thanks for a wonderful Thanksgiving mom and for helping put up our Christmas decorations (while Danny and I went to Twilight :)) It was also nice to have some time alone to go Christmas shopping. Here comes Santa....! (guess I shouldof put this post before the last as it would of been proper chronological order but due to technical difficulties [ya not refreshing the screen] I couldn't do my posts cause it wouldn't change and I didn't know why!!! Duh!

Ward Christmas Breakfast

We had our ward Christmas breakfast on sat. Yummy food and Santa for the kids....what more could you ask for? The kids loved getting their candycane from Santa and Aria is still talking about how Santa gave her a candycane and now he's back at the northpole. :) The only criticism I have is that dang leglamp from The Christmas Story, I loathe that thing!!!!
