Mom: Ethan how was your day at the zoo?

Ethan: Uhhhh... I was riding on the train and I was looking at the elephants and the giraffes and the komo bears

Mom: What are those?

Mom: You mean Panda bears

Mom: How was the train

Ethan: It was good I just went in a rectangle

Mom: How was your lunch?

Ethan: Lunch was good and someone shared his lunch with me...it was Hue he shared his lunch with me

Mom: What did you do after lunch?

Ethan: I was going in the stinky house

Mom: Did you see any snakes?

Ethan: Yes in the stinky house, there's stinky rattlesnakes

More cuteness from the picture fanatic

To sit or sleep? That is the question...I think I'll sleep on it :)

I'm amazed at how well Ethan is getting at playing his games on playhouse disney and using the mouse....he can figure out a lot of the games all on his own! My goodness he's only 5 yrs. old and now he's even building computers!!

Sittin' on the vent....my favorite place in the morning when the heat comes on

Suckin' on the pacifier a bit intently here....still got the marks and the "why did you take that away from me" glare

My obstacle course.....Watch me go mom!

Sometimes its so hard to find a place where a girl can pull her thoughts together

Happy Easter!

It's so fun at holidays now that the kids are old enough to really get excited and into the whole "Easter Bunny" scene. Ethan and I had fun decorating the house, making an easter egg hanging and painting some pots. The whole family had a good time coloring our Easter eggs. When they were all done Ethan and Aria even ate a couple easter eggs (well a few bites :)) And ofcourse all the fun was supervised by our sweet Emma.

The saturday before easter we thought we'd try some photos dressed up. Why spend a bunch of money on professional photos when we can dress up at home and make cute backdrops and do just as good a job. NOT! I don't know how the photo people at department stores and stuff get the kids to pay attention but it is not easy! It is like pulling teeth just to get Aria to look at the camera or for Ethan to smile nicely. And we still can't figure out how to get our camera to do the self timer so we couldn't get a family shot. Anyway me being me, I gotta have my pictures so next year its professional photos for us.

Ok enough pictures already!!

My Baby's Blogging!

Ok so I finally got Danny to start his own blog. I'd been nudging him to do it for about a month. He has this natural talent for writing that journalist wannabees would envy. He wrote an LDS book that he's gonna put a link on his blog to. Not a bad read; little campy but hey what LDS novel isn't right? Good for you baby (oh and BTW I sure would like another one of those sweet romantic poems you write :))

What the cat!?

So I wake up this morning and come downstairs with the kids and I hear this meowing. Well Aria has a little toy cat she carries around that makes a meowing so I thought it was that. The meowing didn't stop though. I looked and looked and tryed to hear where it was coming from. You're getting warmer........Nope you're getting colder.....Hot! It was coming from the fireplace. I couldn't see the cat but it might have been out or just came out of the flu when it heard people I don't know. I ran upstairs and told Danny I think there's a cat stuck in the flu! When I came back downstairs I then saw its piercing cat eyes trying to escape our fireplace covering. I tried to contain it cause I didn't know what to do but in typical cat fashion it weasled its way out. Like a goof I panicked and screamed "It's in the house!" Before it got too far and rubbed into Emma (who was lying on the floor) I scooped it up and promptly threw it outside (ok I placed it :)) It sat outside our back door for a while meowing quite loudly. Well when Danny was ready to leave he came up with the brilliant idea to throw it in the trunk and take it for a ride downtown....heehee (ok he placed it in the trunk :)) I do feel kinda bad for the little stray but....ya not really a cat person here.
Gotta give him credit though for taking the plunge into a dark chimney and not even knowing where it goes (he even pryed oped the flu!)
This one beats the crazy birds pecking at our window we had last summer!

I realized after I threw him out I should taken a picture of him in the fireplace. What a goodmorning!
